Terms of Use

The service

CatStamp turns your cat photos into stickers for a collectible album on your iPhone. The optional Feed lets collectors publish catches as Posts, each with a public link, and adopt each other's cats into their own albums. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple under the App Store terms; Apple handles refunds and cancellations. We may change, pause or end features, including the Feed, at any time.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to use CatStamp. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

The Collector Account

The Feed needs an optional, anonymous Collector Account. It is one secret token that the app keeps in your iCloud Keychain. There is no email, password or recovery: if the token is lost, for example when you change phones with iCloud Keychain turned off, the account is lost with it. A username has 3 to 20 letters, digits or underscores, must be unique, and may not be offensive, impersonate anyone or use a reserved name. We may rename an offensive username. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

Your content and the Post licence

You keep the rights you have in your Posts, and you confirm you have the right to post them. By posting, you grant Aktiv Rekord Kft. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, resize, display and distribute the Post through the Feed and its web page, and you grant every other collector a licence to copy it into their album through Adoption and keep the copy.

The display licence ends when the Post is deleted; copies already adopted survive. We will not use your Posts in marketing without asking you first.

Prohibited content

Do not post, or choose a username containing:

• sexual content;
• violence or cruelty, including cruelty to animals;
• people or private information, such as faces, names, addresses or number plates;
• spam;
• material that infringes copyright or other rights, or that you otherwise have no right to post;
• offensive names, or names that impersonate someone;
• anything unlawful.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

Moderation, removal and suspension

Every upload is screened automatically, and some Posts wait for human review before they appear. We review reported and held content within 48 hours, usually much faster.

We may remove a Post, rename an account or suspend it when content or behaviour breaks these terms. A suspended account is read-only: it can still read the Feed, delete its Posts and delete itself, but cannot post, adopt, report, block or change its username or country. Suspension is reversible.

Report a Post or a username from its menu in the app. Send complaints about content to balint.hajnal@activerecord.com; they fall under the same 48 hours.

Adoption

Adopting a Post saves a copy of the cat in your album that you keep, even if the Post or its poster's account is later deleted. The adoption count never decreases, even if you release the cat. An Adopted Cat cannot be posted.

Intellectual property

The app, the website, their artwork, Cosmetics and the CatStamp name belong to Aktiv Rekord Kft. or its licensors. You may use them only to enjoy CatStamp personally, and you may share the stickers and cards you make for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape or resell CatStamp or its content.

catstamp.fun shows public Posts at their links and links to the App Store and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for those sites or their terms.

Disclaimers and liability

CatStamp is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that the Feed will always be available, or that cat recognition and appearance labels are accurate. We are not responsible for content other collectors post. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for CatStamp in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, including their existence, validity or termination, is finally resolved by the International Commercial Arbitration Court under the European Arbitration Chamber (Belgium, Brussels, Avenue Louise, 146) under its rules, by one arbitrator, in English, with the seat of arbitration in Budapest, Hungary. This does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms as CatStamp changes, and we change the date below when we do. Using CatStamp after a change means you accept the updated terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
